Your New Neighbor

My blogging slowdown/hiatus continues as I look after your brand-new Beacon Hill neighbor, Sylvana Josephine. Here's a picture of her napping on her birthday on Friday.

Congratulations and welcome, Sylvana! I may be dreaming, but I think she looks like Arthur. Some relevant mail is headed your way soon, little family.

Congrats on your new addition to Beacon Hill!

My wife has a little less than 3 months until we help make Beacon Hill a little more populous ourselves.

Congratulations! We are SO happy for you guys.

Good luck getting any work done though. ;-) I used to find myself just lying there staring at my new baby while the rest of the world seemed to disappear... Blissful, I tell you, utterly blissful.

Well, after the dark time of that first three months, of course.

Don't worry, right about the time you start thinking, I can't possibly slave for this little lump that doesn't even seem to notice me anymore, she'll start smiling at everything that moves and you will immediately (and mindlessly) commit the rest of your life to the lovely little being.

And with that, welcome to the 'hood little Sylvana! You're lucky to be born to smart parents. Enjoy and don't be too hard on them!

welcome little girl! babies bring a whole new world into view - and everyday is amazing because its wonderful to them. As to the first 3-4 months of bliss and sleeplessness, take it one day at a time don't try to get too much done.

Delayed congrats! I am just now catching up on all the old blog posts -- we were in England for a couple of weeks in September, and I haven't even looked at my RSS feeds since... the last week in August, I think. So I didn't see this until now. Many, many congratulations! She is adorable, of course. (Is that a squirrel doll next to her?)

Thanks, everyone!

It is a squirrel next to her. "Squirrel" has been our nickname for her since before she was born.
