Beacon Hill Groper Attacks 22nd Victim

I don't even know what to say about this anymore.

In the middle of the day on Thursday, this man attacked his 22nd (reported) victim, this time right by the 76 station on the 2400 block of 14th Avenue South.

From yesterday's P-I:

"The victim, a 28-year-old woman, was walking home from the store when a man approached her from behind, covered her mouth, knocked her to the ground and assaulted her. Two people nearby saw the attack. When the assailant noticed them, he broke off his assault and fled."

"[The perpetrator] has been described as a black male of medium height, thin build, in his 20s or 30s. He has worn a variety of clothing and in some cases has hidden behind a green ski mask or red scarf."

Interesting that the Seattle Times didn't think a 22nd sexual attack in South Seattle by the same asshole warranted a mention in the local section.

Last night, at 9 pm a man knocked at my door with no apparent reason. I looked at the window and he made a gesture as he was asking for a cigarette (?). I told him that I do not know him and to go away (of course I did not open the door). OK, that freaked me out. The man was about in his early 30’s, African American, medium height, wearing a grey hood and did not have a clean appearance. Because of the latest incidents of the attacks on Asian women, it made me nervous. I am not Asian, but still I am a woman. The man matches the description of the attacker, of course many man will match this description.
He did nothing wrong, just suspicious. There is a convenient store close by in Beacon Ave and Columbian Way and other public places, where he can get a cigarette (assuming that is what he wanted). Also, my house is off the street, he had to go up the stairs just to ask for cigarette?!
I called the South Precinct this morning and they asked me to call 911 and report it. Not sure if I should do it, maybe I am just feeling paranoid due to recent incidents.
Anyhow, have this happened to any one of you lately? If this happens to you, the South precinct recommends to call 911 and report it. I will be checking with my neighbors today and see if he also knocked at their doors.

We went to a Beacon Hill Council meeting a few weeks ago, and there the South precinct captain said to defintely call 911 whenever anything sketchy like you've described happened. He included "passed out drunks" as things that should be called into 911. Apparently 911 calls are the main way that questionable activities are tracked.
