Trip to Toronto: Street Art

The street art in Toronto is a million times better than that in Seattle. Here's a photo I took of an average piece.

If you're in the mood to follow a link, compare that to this piece that Seattle's The Stranger recently found noteworthy.

This must be one of the pieces that was sanctioned by the city. I love it.

We used to have interesting street art in San Francisco, but I'm not sure if we do anymore because I so rarely visit the neighborhood where you'd see it.

Have you ever read Dutch and Wood at sweet-juniper.com? Although he's a hipter blogging dad, he also has an affinity for street art, as seen here:

I'm bad at links and stuff, so if this doesn't work, let me know.

Anyway, he's an amazing writer and really finds the beauty in street art. Enjoy.

Thanks for the link, Jennifer! Those photos he found would make a wonderful children's book.
